The “Monastery of the Angels”, the headquarters of FAD (“Fostering Arts and Design”, located at the heart of the city of Barcelona, is fully occupied by a sample of various and ingenious designs, which for the first time brings together in a single exhibition finalists and winners of the awards in different disciplines.

This is an essential visit to learn about what is happening in the word of design and architecture and will be open to the public until August the 31st.

After more than 30 editions, the Delta Awards are considered today the best referent in Southern Europe of industrial design, thanks to the level and the quality of the products, which every two years, intend to achieve the prestigious Gold Delta or some of the Silver Delta chosen by an expert jury of professionals. Max Bill, Javier Carbajal, Franco Albini, Ettore Sottsass, Gae Aulenti, Jean Baudrillard, Alvaro Siza, Rafael Moneo, Gui Bonsiepe, Antonio Fernández Alba, Dieter Rams, Alessandro Mendini and Ingo Maurer are some of the names that have been part of the jury of the Delta Awards.

Some of the winners of the last editions have been Miguel Milá and the lamp TMC; André Ricard and the ashtray Copenhaguen; Leopoldo Milá and the motorbike Cota 247, or Òscar Tusquets and Lluís Clotet and the desk Hialina.
The goal of these awards is to promote the public recognition of those products that highlight because of its innovative aspects, for the conceptual renovation of their creation , for the social respond that they can have and for their adaptation and contribution to the environment as well as for its manufacturing process and quality.
