ARTHUR HOLM launches the first retractable monitor share system, which makes the meeting table stand alone without needing any external device

During INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE 2016 ARTHUR HOLM will present DynamicX2Share, an innovative retractable monitor that integrates a video distribution and selection system.  This is the first monitor launched to the market which can make a meeting table stand alone, with no need to use external devices to distribute, share and select the information. The installation is cleaner, simpler and easier than ever.

DynamicX2Share

DynamicX2Share  is a state-of-the-art reliable, retractable, individually addressable and remotely diagnosable monitor which also integrates a FULL HD, video distribution system.

By using DynamicX2Share, the monitors just need to be connected through an HDMI cable in a closed daisy chain loop, so that any user can send an HDMI signal to all other participants, and to other large displays or projectors which might be in the meeting room, or display their own local sources in the monitor without interfering the shared signal in other monitors. Signals for controlling the monitors are embedded into the HDMI signal, so there is no need to have an additional control cabling. Dynamic Share includes a built-in control system, by means of hard buttons integrated into the cover plate, but it can also be controlled remotely, through any external control system. The “share” button will select and distribute the user ́s signal to all other participants, while “View” button will show the video source locally, not affecting the shared signal running inside the loop.
A retractable HDMI cable is integrated into the top-table cover plate, providing a clean solution for connecting laptops, tablets, cell phones and other devices. External sources can be connected, locally or remotely, and can be integrated into the Dynamic Share system.

The monitor is silent, fast and extremely elegant with a modern and sober design, made of mechanised and anodised aluminium. The upper table cover plate can also integrate a mechanism to lift and retract “gooseneck” type microphones equipped with a LED ring which changes colour green to red, to indicate the willingness of the user to talk. Furthermore, the system can also integrate a full HD video camera, becoming a complete audio and video conference station which can disappear within the desk, when no needed. DynamicX2Share provides automatic tilting by using only one engine; a system that is protected by an international patent. Its passive cover plate prevents dirt and any kind of object from falling inside the mechanism and the lift system has different speed levels depending on the screen position, having as a result a harmonic drive and eluding abrupt movements. An independent lift for the microphone, with a stylish round hedge has been added to this solution and consequently, the user can choose to have only the screen, only the microphone, both or none.

Below the table, the only cable required is an HDMI cable, from monitor to monitor. From the video routing perspective, DynamicShare is equivalent to multiple HDMI selectors connected to multiple cascade HDMI distribution amplifiers in a daisy chain topology.

Each DynamicX2Talk Share has3 inputs and any user can share one or more HDMI signals with the rest of users. The remote control signals (monitor up/down and input selection) are embedded into the HDMI signal.

The meeting table can then stand-alone, since it does not require any external device.

Advantages:

· Cabling:  Cabling inside tables is complicated, there is lack of space, as well as heat and ventilation issues. With DynamicX2Share there is no need to use additional video cables or power supplies, making the system simpler and more reliable. The only necessary cable is an HDMI cable from monitor to monitor.

· Cost effective: A unique and flexible selection and distribution solution at a very competitive price.

· Flexible operation modes: Any user can choose to control its own display, by selecting the shared signal or the local (“View”) input, without interfering with the shared signal in other user´s monitor. Buttons can be locked remotely through the control protocol and there can be a “chairman” user, with priority over all other users.

· Embedded control: Control signals are embedded in the HDMI signal

· Integration of external displays and sources:  DynamicShare is also available in a stand-alone version, so external monitors and sources can be added to the loop (large monitors, projectors…)

· Input and output flexibility: 3 HDMI inputs.

· Reliability: EDID management, HDCP 1.3 compliancy and HDMI reclocking to avoid signal degradation.

· HDMI performance: Supports uncompressed full motion HDMI signals 1920×1080@60Hz. HDCP 1.3 compliant.
