Without a doubt, 2020 will be remembered as a very special year though maybe not for all the right reasons. We started the year with a lot of energy and enthusiasm, working around the clock to get our Dynamic4 ready for its launch at the ISE, held in Amsterdam, (while looking forward to the upcoming event in Barcelona on the horizon), and we made it! We proudly unveiled the Dynamic4 at ISE and, as luck would have it, we were finalists in the Award R&D category. In addition, the Dynamic4 won 2 “Best of Show” awards and so we returned to Barcelona full of energy, enthusiasm and excitement.  We never imagined then that this would be the last fair of the year.

Then suddenly the pandemic hit. It shook us up, and locked us up at home. And because of that we discovered other ways to work, to interact with each other and, ultimately, to live.  We forced ourselves to move forward; we learned how to use video conferencing and virtual meeting applications in record time. We adapted to work from home: often in complicated situations in cramped space, surrounded by background noises like barking, children screaming and runningaround, while persevering with a slow and saturated network connection.

We stopped travelling. Fairs and events were cancelled and sadly, we even stopped visiting our family and friends.  We “physically” stopped going to the office, but slowly and steadily, we gradually returned. As the proverb goes “necessity is the Mother of invention” we found different ways of doing things; we organised webinars and tutorials and recorded the first virtual fair: the AHDynamicExpo2020.

The Dynamic4 won another “Best of Show” at the virtual edition of InfoComm, we launched a new catalogue (in interactive format), and our DynamicSpeaker won a Silver Delta at the prestigious ADI design awards. As Salvi Plaja, president of the ADI-FAD association, says: “Design is crucial to the success of companies, the future of our economy and to the re-industrialisation of the country. Design can save companies on the verge of closure or rescue the economy of a country on the edge of the abyss”.

And this year more than any other, has reaffirmed who we are, what we do and why we do it. We are proud of our continued commitment to the originality of our designs, the quality of the materials used to construct our products, the craftsmanship in the manufacturing, and providing the best service and support to our customers. We will not stop innovating; we are currently developing new products that will launch in 2021 and we hope to surprise you once again. Yes, these are difficult times, but they are also times for reflection, gratitude and innovation.

We would like to thank you for your support and loyalty and send you our best wishes for 2021.
