The boardroom is often considered the neurological center of an organization — the place where key decisions are made and where the essence of the company is most visibly expressed. For Banc Sabadell’s new headquarters in Barcelona, this vision has been brought to life through a project that seamlessly integrates technology with timeless craftsmanship.
Design Concept & Vision
In close collaboration with the end user, the AV system integrator and a leading architectural studio, the new boardroom was conceived to reflect the core values of sobriety, elegance, versatility, and integrity. Every detail — from the spatial layout to the materials used — was curated to create an environment that communicates both authority, collaboration and warmth.
At the heart of the room is a magnificent round table crafted from special oak, a material chosen for its natural beauty and symbolic strength. The table features solid oak inserts with black varnish detailing, combined with intricate marquetry work that highlights the craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the space. The resulting finish is sober and sophisticated, providing an atmosphere conducive to focused discussion and executive decision-making.
Integrated Technology
Discreetly embedded within this traditional setting is a suite of state-of-the-art audiovisual and conferencing solutions. The selected technology centers around the DB2 retractable monitor in a sleek black finish, paired with dual DynamicTalk, offering seamless interaction for all board members.
