The meeting spaces of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic required a technology solution capable of supporting high-level governmental discussions while preserving the visual integrity and prestige of the interior architecture. For this reason, Arthur Holm’s DB2 retractable monitor system was selected for delegates, complemented by a Dynamic3 foldable monitor for the chairperson.
DB2: Minimal Footprint, Maximum Elegance
The DB2 is one of the most discreet motorised monitors available for conference and boardroom environments. Its defining characteristic is the exceptionally small footprint it leaves on the meeting table. Unlike conventional retractable displays, the DB2 requires only a minimal cut-out in the furniture surface, preserving the original design and materials of the table. This outstanding combination of functionality, aesthetics and furniture integration earned the DB2 the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, recognising its excellence in product design and innovation.
When retracted, the monitor disappears completely, leaving visible only a slim, elegant line that blends seamlessly into the tabletop. This allows the room to maintain a clean and uncluttered appearance whenever technology is not required.

When activated, the display rises smoothly from the table and reveals a timeless and sophisticated design. The monitor’s viewing angle can be adjusted directly by the user through an intuitive control button located on the top of the unit, ensuring optimal ergonomics for every participant.
The DB2 is manufactured from a single mechanised block of premium-quality aluminium with a natural anodised finish, ensuring exceptional durability, precision and elegance. It incorporates a professional-grade industrial LCD panel designed for continuous operation, together with highly efficient electronics that provide advanced functionality, effortless adjustment and remote diagnostic capabilities. The use of premium materials and meticulous engineering guarantees long-term reliability while maintaining the refined appearance required in prestigious institutional environments.

Key advantages include:
- – Ultra-minimal table integration with no tabletop cover plate.
- – Award-winning design recognised by the Red Dot Design Award.
- – Motorised elevation and retraction.
- – Adjustable viewing angle.
- – Touch screen functionality for delegates.
- – Precision-machined aluminium construction.
- – Elegant architectural integration.
- – Silent and reliable operation.
- – Professional-grade display technology.
- – Advanced remote diagnostics and management capabilities.
ERT: Intelligent Centralised Control
To ensure effortless management of all technology within the meeting room, the installation incorporates Arthur Holm’s ERT (Easy Remote Tool).
The ERT system allows facility managers and operators to control all DB2 units centrally, including:
- – Simultaneous monitor opening and closing.
- – Individual monitor management and auto adjusting.
- – Status monitoring and diagnostics.
- – Preset operation scenarios.
- – Integration with third-party room control systems.
In addition, all functions can be managed through the AHlink App, providing intuitive control from tablets or mobile devices. This combination of local controls, ERT management, and mobile operation offers maximum reliability for both daily meetings and high-level governmental sessions.
The result is a workspace where technology remains invisible until needed, supporting efficient collaboration while maintaining the highest standards of design and functionality.
Architectural Context: Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic
The project gains additional significance due to its location within the governmental headquarters of Kyrgyzstan.
The Cabinet of Ministers is based in Bishkek, the country’s capital. Historically, government functions were housed in the famous White House, a monumental seven-storey marble building completed in 1985 and designed in the Soviet Modernist style. The building has long served as one of the most recognisable symbols of Kyrgyz statehood and political life.
More recently, the Kyrgyz government inaugurated the new Yntymak Ordo governmental complex, which serves as the seat of both the President and the Cabinet of Ministers. Opened in 2024, the building was conceived as an architectural symbol of national unity and development, featuring a contemporary neoclassical design language.
Whether installed within historic government facilities or contemporary state buildings, the DB2’s discreet design aligns perfectly with environments where architecture, prestige and institutional representation are as important as technology itself. By preserving sightlines, minimising visual clutter and respecting the architectural character of the space, the DB2 contributes to an environment that reflects both innovation and governmental authority.
